Funding & Financial Support
Making our training more accessible.
At Lomax, we believe that the cost of training shouldn't stand in the way of developing people, building careers or growing your business.
We have access to a range of funding routes and financial support options for eligible learners and employers. This includes our direct Government Apprenticeship Contract, access to Adult Skills Fund (ASF) funding, direct Learner Loans funding, and funding available through established partners across the Northeast, Yorkshire and beyond.
This means that, depending on the programme, your circumstances, location and eligibility, you may be able to access industry-recognised training with all or part of the cost funded, or spread the cost through an eligible learner loan.
Our team will assess your circumstances and explain which funding routes may be available to you.
Funding routes available through Lomax
Government-funded Apprenticeships
Lomax holds a direct Government Apprenticeship Contract, enabling us to support employers and learners through funded apprenticeship programmes.
Apprenticeships combine paid employment with structured training and practical workplace experience. Eligible employers may be able to access government funding towards the cost of training, with additional incentives potentially available depending on the apprentice and employer's circumstances.
Adult Skills Fund (ASF)
We have access to Adult Skills Fund (ASF) provision, helping eligible adults access skills training that can support employment, career progression, retraining and workforce development.
ASF-funded opportunities can vary according to the programme, learner circumstances, location and available funding. Our team can check your eligibility and explain which courses and funding options are currently available.
Direct Learner Loans
For eligible qualifications where full funding isn't available, Lomax can offer access to direct Learner Loan funding.
This can provide an alternative way to finance an eligible qualification, allowing learners to spread the cost of their training rather than paying the full course fee upfront.
Our team can explain the available loan route, eligibility requirements and the qualification-specific arrangements before you enrol.
Other Funding & Partner Provision
We also work with established funding partners and organisations across the North East Region to make additional training opportunities available.
Funding can vary throughout the year, so if you cannot see a funded option for the course you are interested in, please speak to a member of our team to find out about other options available.
For Employers
We can potentially access funded training to develop your workforce.
Whether you're recruiting new talent or investing in your existing workforce, there may be funding available to help reduce the cost of training.
Through our apprenticeship provision and other funded programmes, Lomax can support employers across the energy and utilities sector.
Funding and incentives can include:
-
Apprenticeship funding for eligible new and existing employees
-
Fully funded apprenticeship training where the relevant government eligibility criteria are met
-
Adult Skills Fund provision where available and where the employer and learner meet the relevant requirements
-
Potential employer incentives for eligible apprentices
-
Upskilling and retraining opportunities through funded programmes
-
Bespoke workforce training designed around your business requirements
Our current training portfolio covers areas including gas, utilities, electrical, renewables, smart metering, health & safety and other related technical skills.
Funding rules and eligibility can be complex and change over time. Rather than trying to work it out yourself, speak to our team.
We'll help you understand:
