CONFINED SPACES

Working in confined spaces is one of the most high-risk tasks across multiple industries. Each year, serious incidents and fatalities (on average 15 deaths a year in the UK alone) occur due to poor ventilation, toxic gases, or lack of safe rescue planning, proving how vital proper training is. despite the potential risks with the proper training it can lead to a gateway of opportunities!



Confined space training can be split into 3 different categories, low risk, medium risk and high risk.




Low Risk

Ideal for those occasionally working in confined spaces with good ventilation and minimal hazards. This course teaches safe entry and exit, basic gas testing, and emergency procedures, perfect for beginners or those under supervision.


Medium Risk

Designed for those entering spaces where hazards are more likely, such as reduced airflow or potential gas risks. Learners gain practical experience using permits, gas monitors, and control systems, developing the confidence to safely plan and manage entry work.


High Risk

This advanced course is for environments with complex access, serious hazards, or specialist rescue requirements. Training includes full use of breathing apparatus, advanced gas testing, and emergency evacuation procedures in realistic settings.

If a job involves limited entry or exit, poor ventilation, or potential exposure to hazardous substances or low oxygen, employers are legally required under the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 to ensure workers are properly trained and competent. the necessary training is not an option but a legal must as a result you can guarantee learning this will not only make sure your compliant with the standards but legible to the dozens and dozens of jobs this qualification is needed for, some of those common ones are gas and water engineers, drainage and sewer operatives, electricians, groundworkers, and maintenance staff.
