Three previous Lomax learners - Helen, Majid and Joe - have recently returned to Lomax Training Services to be reassessed for their gas qualifications. We caught up with these learners to hear about their training experiences and where they are now.
For all of Lomax's reassessment options, explore our course pages or get in touch with the team.
Helen Studied at Lomax in 2016 and 2021
Helen completed her QCF level 3 qualification in 2016. Her time at Lomax was "a positive experience with no issues". She found Lomax Training "supportive, friendly, approachable and patient". She felt her morale was always good.
After completing course she worked for JH Mechanical for a year and then, the last 4 years, employed by Gentoo, carrying out servicing and repairs to gas appliances. She is currently passing her skills and mentoring apprentices.
She has recently came back to Lomax to renew her ACS certification.
Majid
Studied at Lomax in 2016-17 and 2021
Majid completed his QCF level 3 diploma in 2016. As Majid was already self-employed he expanded his business to include gas installation and maintenance. He returned to Lomax in 2017 for Non-Domestic qualifications training which included commercial catering and pipework.
He successfully passed this which again expanded his business portfolio. He found his training " fabulous and good quality " and said he "I won't go anywhere else".
Majid has booked other courses in the coming months to expand his certification.
Joe
Studied at Lomax in 2015 and 2021
Joe completed his QCF Level 3 diploma in 2015 after his "spot on" training. He said he felt "very comfortable" from day 1 and throughout the course.
Immediately after certification he went self employed, setting up Bells Heating and Gas. He also sub-contracts for Sure Maintenance carrying out service maintenance and repairs.
He has returned to Lomax for his ACS refresher training and assessments.
